Our Social Building!
Facilities.
We have a huge selection of social activities in our social building. A pool table, gaming consoles, karaoke and so much more. We are also open to suggestions and we add activities each week. Our social facilitators run events almost every day from clay trinket making to painting sessions we always have something exciting going on! Even if you’re not doing education with us we still teach DJ skills and musical instrument playing on a more relaxed basis.
Studios.
We have two state of the art recording studios with industry standard recording equipment and software. These studios are available to anyone who comes here for the social experience. These rooms are a great place to record and learn music but they are also Quiet spaces. We have logic pro installed on every mac in our building so no matter where you are you can be working on and enjoying making music.
Sensory room.
One of our most recent additions to SORM is our sensory room. This room was created by our placement students, and the people we support, we used their feedback to build a sensory room that works for a wide variety of people.
This is an open project and we are always looking for ways to improve it, constantly taking feedback and making changes as soon as possible. If you’d like to learn more about this room please click the button below.
Lessons and Sessions.
We offer basic non-graded lessons with a variety of instruments, this is provided in a quiet environment and also available on a 1-1 basis. They are very relaxed sessions which are lead by the people we support. Learning an instrument takes time, patience and the right support. We have rooms full of instruments for people to try out and noise is never an issue. Do you fancy coming to play the drums for an hour at max volume? No problem.
Our staff are here to support you. If you want to play drums, make clay sculptures, play pool or sit in a quiet room and listen to music we will make sure that happens.
