I am a long time drummer having played for over 30 years. Music has been and is a huge part of my life. I have been fortunate enough to play with some fabulous people and excellent musicians. I regularly do session work and have played on over 30 albums, recorded in a multitude of studios. I play regularly at festivals and other venues with the 9 piece original reggae band, Pepperjam. I have toured in Europe and many times in the uk and been lucky enough to call myself a “professional musician” for a good few years in the past. I taught drums to a high level for two years at the Northern Drum centre. I have produced two of my own albums and engineered and co-produced many others. To say music is a passion is an understatement. The feeling of community, the excitement of the performance, the sense of achievement, the social aspect, the travel possibilities and hopefully financial opportunities all add up to what I have experienced in the music industry. I remember the spark that started it all for me and my hope is that I can ignite that in others by teaching what I have learnt, here at SORM.
